About Bastion

Bastion is the lab OS. Not a chat wrapper. Not a seat you rent. A private brain on your machine — systems, models, memory, and graphs no one can revoke.

THESIS

The danger is structural, not personal. Whoever defines the data, the loop, and the receipts owns the intelligence.

A sincere wish to “use AI safely” can still become a wrapper for control: retention, hidden behavior, and policy decided in someone else’s account.

A lab that serves you. Not a vendor that governs the loop.

What Bastion is

The stack is five planes: machine, systems, models, memory, infra. Sequence and ML Harness plug into Systems. They are products in the lab — they are not the brand.

You attach Ollama, vLLM, Nebius Token Factory, or any OpenAI-compatible API. The harness does not change when the model does. Bytes stay on disk until you choose a provider call.

Four loops run locally: engineering, business, personal, and AI. Faster search over your own graph. Fewer tokens burned elsewhere.
